Wet Scrubber

Wet Scrubber

A wet Scrubber system is an air treatment system that removes odor, pollutants, acid and chemical fumes from the manufacturing process by utilizing the contact between exhaust air and liquid from water spray inside the tank.

The principle of the air treatment system is as follows: the exhaust air will be sucked into the tank through a media ball, which increases the contact surface between the exhaust air and the liquid from the aerosol water spray. The particles of dust and contaminants in the air are then caught by the water and trapped inside the tank. The air which has been treated is finally released from the stack. Wet Scrubber system works well with various dust and gas contaminants, especially gases that can dissolve in water.

Since the water droplets inside the system are exposed to dust, they will become liquid sludge at the bottom of the tank. The sludge must be sent to the sedimentation tank to separate the sludge to be removed by burying in a landfill, drying, compressing through a filter press, or hiring an industrial waste disposal company. The soluble gas in the system becomes acidic/alkaline. What becomes of wastewater should be disposed of in the treatment pond so that water condition can be adjusted to the standard before releasing to public water sources. It can also be used around the factory as well such as for cleaning or watering plants.

This air treatment system is suitable for treating odors in many industries, such as the chemical industry, electronic industry, food industry, automotive industry, metal plating industry, etc.
